"I wonder what Neji-niisan likes for dinner?" Hinata thought as she winded through the crowd on the streets of Konoha. This was a standard thought of course, since the shy Hyuuga girl was always thinking about what to cook. Although, she wasn't as shy anymore.
Yes, Hyuuga Hinata has grown some backbone ever since Naruto had left. But it was only because she wanted to show to people important to her that she wasn't so useless and weak anymore. That this shinobi could defy destiny and become strong. Not that she wasn't weak. She could use a little bit more training and there was always room for improvement. But most importantly, Hinata has always wanted to become stronger so she could show Naruto the day he came back that she changed.
Her now long dark indigo hair brushed past her face gently as a refreshing breeze blew past her, greatly appreciated and welcomed after a long hard day of training. The smell of ramen filled her nose as she walked past the old Ichiraku Ramen shop. Her heart panged from sadness. It wasn't as though she hated ramen, but Naruto loved ramen. And there was always that thought that horrified the timid girl whenever she was reminded of it. What if he didn't feel the same way? What if he still felt for Sakura, his old teammate?
"S-Sakura-san is so pretty, and popular, and incredibly strong." Hinata thought sadly as she sat down on a bench near the resteraunt."And...I'm..." Looking down at her hands blankly with hot tears stinging her eyes, she quickly blinked them away before letting them fall. "...plain."

Naruto smiled as he walked down the all to familar street that lead from his house to the Raman shop. He had miss Kohona so much but The raman here was one of the things he missed the most. He liked all raman but he found out first hand that the raman here was the best in the world. Naruto laughted a bit. Ero-sensei hated eatting Raman all the time and would always scold Naruto for it at first, but after a while he got use to it and stopped yelling at him for eatting it all the time.
Naruto stopped ad signed when a breeze blew past him. It felt good on a hot day like this. Naruto had forgotten just how hot it could get there sometimes. Thought it wasn't as hot as some of the places they visited, but it wasn't the coldest ether. Naruto smiled again as he remembered how hard it was to get use to those climates... and now he had to get use to being here agin. He now put both of his hands behind his head and started walking yet again.
He could now smell the raman even before he turned the corner. Thought Naruto could almost always tell when raman was near by. He gessed it was because he ate it so much. As he turned the corner thought he hear a familar voice. He couldn't really tell how it was thought. It was different just enought to throw him off. All he heard was the word '...plain'.
Naruto wondered what that was all about. He knew it was a girl by the sound of the voice and she sounded sad. That was one of Naruto's weak points. He couldn't stand it when someone was upset like that. He then noticed that it was Hinata. That made him feel worse. It was someone he knew personally, thought it was true they barly knew eachother but still he was her friend.
Naruto walked over to her and smiled down at her. He wipped away one of her tears that was hanging there on her face. He had seen Ero-sensei do this many times and knew this made girls feel a bit better. He also knew that it showed them that you care. Naruto wanted her to know it would be alright thought he dosen't yet know what was wrong.
"Hinata..." Naruto said kindly "Whats the matter?"

Hinata was taken by surprise when a soft hand had wiped her tear away off her face. Her eyes widened when she followed up her gaze towards the person, Naruto. Naturally, her face became extremely red as she blushed a deep shade from embarassment. Not only she wasn't prepared to see Naruto come back home, he was there now and saw her crying! "Oh god...Oh god...please don't let me faint!" she thought in her mind as she shut her eyes flustered.
Opening her eyes widely, Hinata's blush deepened at what she has never noticed until now...how close they were right then. Yelping a bit, she backed away quickly flustered and extremely shy again only to find herself falling off the bench and to the ground. "Dear Kami, when will this embarrasment ever end? Why have you forsaken me?" She thought as she rubbed her sore bottom and winced. First the crying, and now this. It was like a whole new wave of nostalgia has just wiped her out in one shot...

Naruto smiled and stiffened a laught when he saw Hinata Fall off of the bench. He gessed he scared her. It was still a little funny to him thought. He didn't laught out loud or make it noticeable that he was trying not to laught. He learned from those two years with Ero-sensei allot about girls. He knew that his laught could be taken wrong. Thought he wondered why she was cought off gaurd so easy. He thought a ninja was always on guard. Thought he wasn't one to talk. He was always surprised, he just didn't show it.
Naruto walked over to Hinata who was rubbing her but right now. He gessed her falling like that was all his fault. He extended his hand out twords her, offering to help her up. As he did this he noticed that Hinata's face was extreamly red. He hoped she wasn't sick. That would be his luck thought. Not seeing someone for so long and them be sick when he comes back.
"Sorry if i scared you." Naruto said as he bent down to her level and put his hand on her head feeling for tempurature "Hinata are you ok? Your face is really red."

"DON'TFAINTDON'TFAINTDON'TFAINT!" Hinata begged in her mind as Naruto placed a hand on her forehead. Now, where has she seen this before? Oh right, in the hospital. What did she do again? Headbutt him, knocking Naruto and herself out in the process. (Not only that, Kiba and Shino had also failed to catch the Hyuuga girl...) Remembering that time only made her face grow a little bit more red since it was now physically impossible for her to get any more flustered. How perfect...
"N-Naruto-kun..." Hinata finally spoke in her still stuttering quiet girlish voice. She smiled shyly, still flustered and embarassed but not as much as before. "Welcome h-home!"
So far so good. She didn't pass out or knock Naruto unconcious this time. That's a change. Well, a good one at least. Maybe she really did change over the years. Not only physically, but mentally as well. He only caught her off guard, that's probably why she had blushed so hard before. Yeah, that was it. "Y-You startled m-me!" she laughed a little, nervous that he would still think she didn't change and was still the same awkward little girl as before.

Naruto smiled gentally at Hinata. She looked vary pretty now that she had grown up but she didn't seem to change other than that. Thought he really couldn't tell that much. He barly knew her then. He signed as he took his hand from her forehead and stood up again. He offered his hand out to help her up.
"Sorry about that." Naruto said "I didn't mean to, but what were you crying about?"
He had gessed right earlyer. He had scared her. Good thing he didn't laught at her. That would of just made it worse. Even thought he wanted to so bad. She seemed at first glance to have matured so much but he gessed she only matured physically. She still acted the same as before. Shy and quiet, it scared naruto sometimes thought. He would always wonder what she was thinking and no saying to everyone.

"W-Well..." 'Oh my goodness! What should I tell him?!' Hinata thought in her mind. She didn't want to lie to Naruto, but she couldn't tell him that it was him she was crying about. "Y-You know...its one of those times when you just have to let out your feelings. R-Right?"
Of course, that wasn't a lie. Hinata has locked away all of her hurt and sad feelings to become stronger. It was rare for her to let it out randomly but the ONE TIME SHE DID, the person she admired most had to appear and witness it. Talk about bad timing. Worse luck. Hesitantly, Hinata shyly took Naruto's helping hand and pulled herself up. He seems to have grown alot, she thought. Naruto's build really has changed and his face became longer and more masculine. "Thank y-you." she muttered, still flustered about her embarassing moments only minutes ago.

Naruto Smiled and nodded. He didn't really know what she meant by that. He almost always showed how he was feeling when he felt it, well he did try to hide when he was confused about something... like now. He didn't do it enought to really have to much emotion stored up like that thought. He did know how it was to have your emotions take over thought.... that happened to him all the time, because of those out bursts of emotions he would do some stupid stuff.
"Yeah i understand." Naruto siad as he now put both of his hands behind his head "So how have you been Hinatta?"
It had been a really long time sense he had seen any of his friends. He wondered how they have been, how much they have improved and what adventures they had been on with out him. He half wished he haddn't lift the village so he could of went with them on a few, but he knew his training was more important that going out on missions like that.

"W-Well, mainly, I've b-been training quite a bit to try and become stronger." Hinata stated, almost proud as she stood up straighter and pushed some loose strands of hair behind her ear. "Of c-course, Shino-kun and Kiba-kun have been great help. A-Along with Kurenai Sensei. They've given me so much, I'm very grateful." she smiled as she remembered how hard everyone has worked over the years.
"B-But that's mainly it. How was y-your training trip?" Hinata asked, interested in hearing about how much stronger Naruto has become. She took a deep breath, noticing that this was the most she's ever talked to Naruto without fainting or running away so far. She smiled softly and folded her hands in front of her, resisting the urge to twiddle her fingers like she did when she was young. "I'm s-sure you've grown a-alot stronger. Everyone's really missed you, Naruto-k-kun."

Naruto had a big smile when Hinata said that everyone had missed him. He thought that everyone would forget about him to tell the truth. That was something he had to risk thought. He had to get stronger to get Sasuke back, and to protect everyone he charishes. He half wished he had been left here thought. They could of trained here... couldn't of they?
Naruto pushed those thoughts out of his head as he took his hands from behind his head. For the frist time in a while he was really glade to see Hinata. She use to just annoy him when they were little.
"Thanks Hinata." Naruto said "I've improved allot of my jutsus and learned a lot of them too. What about you have you learned any new ones?"
